Eastman Outfitters creates exceptional hunting products for the serious hunter. As the leader in the hunting industry with the most innovative and complete line of broadheads and hunting accessories, Eastman Outfitters needed to re–design their website to have as much sophistication online as they do offline.
In need of a content management tool to keep tabs on all of their products and accessories ranging from hunting blinds, broadheads, crossbows and ice shanties, GeekPAK's software was a perfect fit for managing over 160 products. With well over 500 photos, including multiple image types (hero shots, gallery shots, thumbnails, homepage headers, etc.) for each product, GeekPAK software makes managing their entire line easy as can be. In addition, Eastman Outfitters is able to update each product's feature, specification and contents all on their own.
To aid in sales, GEEPAK plans to provide Eastman Outfitters with an advanced eblast tool for targeted messaging to existing and potential customers.
With an ultimate need to eventually sell products online, Eastman Outfitters plans to work with GeekPAK to develop a refined shopping cart for their website, and transition the site into a major eCommerce player within the hunting industry.
To start, GeekPAK worked with Eastman Outfitters to sculpt the site structure and mold the website design with a sharpened aesthetic that is sure to resonate with avid hunters. GeekPAK found that the site needed consistency with navigation and features so they mapped the site accordingly and added a breadcrumb for better way–finding. To spice things up, GeekPAK hit a bulls–eye with the addition of fluid drop down menus and pop up windows for larger image display and captioning.
The homepage, and each product's landing page, was designed to allow Eastman Outfitters to highlight specific products they are trying to sell more of.
To make the customer feel more at ease, the site offers a shopping guide, which funnels shoppers towards specific products. Some additional user–friendly features include a “my accounts” area for the customer to manage their purchase, track orders, sign up for newsletters, and more. Complete with a product support section where users can download instructions and manuals and order replacement parts, this site is on the cutting edge of product oriented websites.
In the end, GeekPAK's website re–design provided Eastman Outfitters with a sophisticated website that they can mount proudly atop the internet.
