As we noted on facebook and twitter, the Mac version of the new Flock web browser came out this week. This new version transitions from mozilla underpinnings to use the new faster more modern webkit / chrome foundation. In short, after two days of solid use all we can say is that the new Flock has all of the same great features as before: + view and post to Twitter + view and post to Facebook + view and post to LinkedIn + view and post to Flickr + view and post to YouTube However the new Flock is significantly faster to load, faster to use and in spite of being an early release, seems more stable. If you hate managing a multitude of applications to manage all of your various social content then Flock is for you. If you are a casual user of social media Flock is also for you. We find that we pay more attention to social media when we use flock, because you don’t have to spend a lot of energy. You can simply have the social side bar open and lurk away with a minimum of effort. In short, Flock takes an already great browser foundation in the Webkit / Chrome underpinnings and makes it even better. | ||
